Jazz Band, Chadwick International School

August 2023 ~ Present

At Chadwick International School, I also played double bass as part of the school´s jazz band for various key events such as graduation ceremonies or Homecoming Day. I also tutored two juniors, helping them to become more serious with the instrument and to join the band. I also played guitar during school busking sessions with jazz and rock players. With these performances, I aimed to spread awareness of stray animal problems, shelter conditions, and the desperately needed animal welfare campaigns within our own Chadwick community. So, I started supporting clubs and events that combined music with advocacy for the issues I found worth fighting over.

Classical Music Orchestra, Chadwick International School

August 2021 ~ June 2023

One of my commitments is to be a part of the Chadwick International School Orchestra. I learned to play both double bass and cello, then played at vital school events such as graduations or annual concerts. I gained the opportunity to work with other musicians of similar skill sets and help better the ensemble in difficult musical arrangements. I performed on these instruments and helped mentor younger students, teaching them how to deepen their understanding with the same love for both instruments. These efforts helped contribute to our continued artistic success and enhanced the collegial spirit within our orchestra family.

The String Orchestra Charity Concert, Art Center Incheon 

January 2022 & January 2023

Within the Songdo String Charity Orchestra in Incheon, I was a cellist for charity concert(s), specifically to help malnourish children. We raised $12K+ at a regional fundraising night for local children's services centers. In these performances with 800 + audiences, I helped blur the lines, creating a place where music and charity gave birth to art, an engine for social good. This changed how I felt about fundraising and showed me how music can be a real force for good where community-driven initiatives are concerned.

Global Youth Peace Music Concert, UN Volunteers Korea

October 2021 & October 2022

Organzed under the theme, Global Youth Peace Music Online Concert aimed to bring a young musician worldwide together and promote peace with music. I joined as a cellist, playing in concerts to share the message of global peace and unity. I played at benefits, making money for good causes, but never as a cellist. In the end, this charity event successfully collected over $3.9 thousand and was sent to South Korea´s Ukraine Embassy to support relief efforts for war. To this concert, I brought my love of music to a greater purpose of spreading global peace through giving back to those less fortunate.
